Hence, the 14 saloons are named as Alwar (the Shekhawati region- gateway to Rajasthan), Bharatpur (now renowned for Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary- an ornithologist's paradise), Bikaner (the place known for desert, dessert and legendary lovers Dhola & Maru), Bundi (known for valour of Hada Rajputs), Dholpur (known for palaces built with sandstones and latticed balcony railings), Dungargarh (the Hill Town of Bhil tribesmen), Jaisalmer (the terrain known for Thar desert, camel safaris, intricately carved havelis and Sonar Qila), Jaipur (the first planned city of medieval India, presently known as the Pink City), Jhalawar (a land of immense natural beauty and valiant Jhala Rajputs), Jodhpur (the Blue City of Rajasthan-the land of ruling Rathore clan and Mehrangarh Fort), Kishangarh (known for Bani Thani paintings of Kishangarh school of arts), Kota (one of the most prosperous former Rajput states), Sirohi (famous for gold fort) and Udaipur (the capital of Sisodia Rajputs and famous for Lake Pichola, City Palace, Lake Palace etc.).
